Fundraising

At Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School we provide outstanding teaching to exceptional students. We give our students the foundation they need in order to excel in their adult lives.

We  support all students, across all disciplines, to fulfil their potential whether that be in the classroom, on the sports field or in the performing arts centre.

In order to achieve that aim, we want to be able to offer the very best facilities, technology, and a broad range of clubs, societies and extra-curricular opportunities, to truly be the 'Grammar School of Today'. Like most other state schools, to do this to the extent we believe our students deserve, we need to seek donation opportunities over and above our public funding.

There are a number of ways you can support the school:

Donations

Just £10 per month per student (less than the price of a daily coffee), would raise almost £150,000 in one year, and with Gift Aid the total would rise to £175,000. This level of funding would help ensure that the school continues to thrive into the future.

If you would like to support the school with a recurring donation please here to set up a direct debit payment option.

If you prefer to make a single gift, please visit https://www.oldfloydians.co.uk/

Please do remember to tick the Gift Aid declaration box if you are a UK tax payer – this allows us to claim and extra 25p for every £1 donated from HMRC.

Any gift, large or small, is hugely appreciated by the school and students and can have a real impact on day to day life at SHFGS.

Matched Giving

Many companies throughout the UK offer employees the chance to boost the fundraising efforts of a charity they support by 'matching' the money they raise.

Generally speaking, banks and building societies, insurance companies, supermarkets, utilities providers, phone companies and car manufacturers are known to offer match-funding schemes.

If you think your employer may offer a similar schemes that might benefit our fundraising efforts, please contact your Human Resources provider for specific details that may apply to you.

Equipment and Service Donations

Help us by donating equipment or a service your organisation provides - please contact us if you have something particular in mind, and we will be happy to discuss this with you.

Sponsorship

Sponsor a school event (e.g. The Autumn Concert, Sports Day), or a publication (e.g. Music Concert programme, Floyd Footnotes). There are many such opportunities available and we would be pleased to discuss these with you.

Please contact Sarah Bowers (sbowers@shfgs.co.uk) for more information.
